From shavings to top quality
For a voluminous base mattress, we recommend three to four bales to start with, depending on the size of the stall. With the recommended use, one bale is often sufficient for weekly top dressing. Actual consumption depends on the stall, the horse and stable management.
The dust content is reduced by separating coarse and fine particles and by extraction in filter systems. Current test values for residual dust are given in the product information.
AlpenSpan is made from spruce shavings from Pabst’s solid wood production. The shavings are produced at the Zeltweg site and processed there into bedding. Origin shares and product properties are stated on the basis of current procurement and test data.
The bales are packaged in recyclable film and can be stacked in niches or under canopies to save space. Stored on Euro pallets and protected from permanent direct exposure to the weather, the bedding can be stored for up to one year.
