Our mission statement
Rooted in the Mur Valley. Focused on the future.
Rooted in the Mur Valley.
Focused on the future.
Since 1940, Pabst has been processing wood into solid wood products. As a family business, we think in terms of generations – not quarters. That is why we continue to develop our sites, production technology and training over the long term.
Dependability and integrity as a matter of course
Our roots are in the region, our values in handshake quality.
We stand for honesty, reliability and long-term partnerships – with customers, suppliers and our employees.
Wood from the region – quality by conviction
We source our round timber primarily from a radius of around 100 kilometres and also process wood from high altitudes. The respective product properties are determined by grading and technical specifications. We value this natural raw material and process it with great respect for the work of the generations who have tended the forest before us.
Use of main products and by-products
Our strategy is guided by selected goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. For each selected goal, we show the assigned operational measures and key figures*. We process round timber into solid wood products and use wood shavings for AlpenSpan, sawdust for wood pellets and bark to generate process heat.
System solutions for modern timber construction
We see ourselves as a specialised system supplier and reliable partner for timber construction.
Our aim is to offer our customers high-quality products and personal service through modern technology, high precision and flexible solutions.
A particular advantage for our customers lies in our logistical strength:
With customised mixed loads, several ordered product groups can be bundled in one delivery. This creates flexibility in project handling.
Collaborating on equal footing
At the heart of Johann Pabst Holzindustrie are our employees. We want to create a working environment in which apprentices and long-standing specialists are equally valued. To this end, we invest in training, professional development and the modernisation of our workplaces. Personal contacts, direct communication and respectful interaction shape our cooperation with employees, customers and partners.
